Sightlines Launches New Member Portal

New tools and improved features give higher education facilities executives richer insights to guide decision making about campus investments

Sightlines, a leader in helping academic institutions better manage their facilities and capital investment strategies, has rolled out a new version of its Member Portal, delivering greater access to their facilities data and more robust tools with which to guide their campus investments.

The new portal, which is a secure online platform accessible only to Sightlines members, enables campus facilities executives to access a wide range of data regarding their operational and capital performance, to compare that data versus other peer institutions, and to use new predictive tools that identify capital investment risk, operational opportunities and the impacts of the changing campus on facility costs.

“For more than a decade, our Member Portal has provided our higher education members with convenient access to their facilities data,” said Mark Schiff, president and chief executive officer of Sightlines. “Now drawing on input from institutions across the country, we’ve developed an all-new Member Portal that includes a number of new features to give higher ed decision-makers richer and more actionable insight regarding their campus investments.”

The new Sightlines portal allows members to have one-click access to their facilities data with the ability to create customized dashboards featuring the metrics of greatest importance to their unique institutions. This data can then be benchmarked against comparable metrics from more than 400 other college and university campuses.

“Our Member Portal also goes beyond benchmarking with a unique ‘My Story’ feature, which presents the member’s key facilities data as an easy-to-understand narrative and displays insightful charts that can be easily shared across the campus in order to enhance collaboration,” said Schiff. “Moreover, the new portal gives users seamless access to the Sightlines member support team for real-time collaboration.”
